Gaya Shraddh Tarpan
गया श्राद्ध तर्पण
Shraddh Tarpan is the core ritual most families travel to Gaya Ji for. Water, sesame seed and rice-barley oblations are offered to ancestors at the Falgu river bank, followed by Shraddh rites conducted with Vedic mantras at Vishnupad and the associated Vedis of the Gaya Tirtha circuit.

Pitru Dosh Puja

When a family feels that unresolved ancestral matters may be affecting health, career or household harmony, a Pitru Dosh Puja is performed at Gaya Ji — invoking ancestors with specific mantras and offerings to seek their blessings and ease the affliction.

Pind Daan
पिंड दान
Pind Daan is the central offering of rice-flour Pindas to departed ancestors, performed at the sacred feet of Lord Vishnu at Vishnupad Mandir and across the Vedis of the Gaya Tirtha circuit — regarded in scripture as the place where this rite brings lasting peace to one's ancestors.
पिंडदान पितरों को अर्पित चावल-आटे के पिंडों का केंद्रीय अनुष्ठान है, जो विष्णुपद मंदिर में भगवान विष्णु के चरणों एवं गया तीर्थ की वेदियों पर संपन्न किया जाता है — शास्त्रों में इस स्थान को पितरों को वास्तविक शांति प्रदान करने वाला माना गया है।

Pitru Dosh Nivaran Puja
पितृ दोष निवारण पूजा
This is a more elaborate puja performed specifically to remove (nivaran) Pitru Dosh through an extended sequence of rituals — often combining Tarpan, Havan and, where advised, Narayan Bali — for families seeking a thorough resolution rather than a single puja.
यह एक विस्तृत पूजा है जो पितृ दोष के निवारण हेतु विशेष रूप से की जाती है — इसमें प्रायः तर्पण, हवन एवं आवश्यकता अनुसार नारायण बलि जैसे कई अनुष्ठान सम्मिलित होते हैं, उन परिवारों के लिए जो एक पूजा से अधिक संपूर्ण समाधान चाहते हैं।

About Shraddh
श्राद्ध के बारे में
Shraddh is the Hindu rite of remembrance and gratitude toward one's ancestors, performed with faith (Shraddha) at prescribed times — a death anniversary, Pitru Paksha, or as guided by your Purohit — and most significantly at Gaya Ji, where scripture holds it brings lasting peace to the departed.

Tripindi Shraddh
त्रिपिंडी श्राद्ध
Tripindi Shraddh is performed for three generations of ancestors together, or for souls whose rites remain incomplete or unsettled, using three Pindas to invoke and pacify them. Families facing repeated, unexplained obstacles are often advised toward this rite by their Purohit.
त्रिपिंडी श्राद्ध तीन पीढ़ियों के पितरों हेतु संयुक्त रूप से, अथवा जिन आत्माओं के संस्कार अधूरे अथवा अशांत माने जाते हैं उनके लिए, तीन पिंडों के माध्यम से किया जाता है। बार-बार आने वाली अस्पष्ट बाधाओं का सामना कर रहे परिवारों को प्रायः पुरोहित द्वारा यह अनुष्ठान करने की सलाह दी जाती है।

Narayan Bali Shraddh
नारायण बलि श्राद्ध
Narayan Bali Shraddh is performed for souls who passed away in unnatural or untimely circumstances. Lord Narayan is invoked alongside the departed soul so it may find peace — many families in such circumstances are advised by their Purohit to perform this rite before other family Shraddh.
नारायण बलि श्राद्ध उन आत्माओं हेतु किया जाता है जिनकी मृत्यु अकाल अथवा असामान्य परिस्थितियों में हुई हो। दिवंगत आत्मा के साथ भगवान नारायण का आह्वान किया जाता है ताकि उसे शांति प्राप्त हो — ऐसी परिस्थितियों में पुरोहित प्रायः परिवार के अन्य श्राद्ध से पहले यह अनुष्ठान करने की सलाह देते हैं।

Mangal Kamna Puja is an auspicious wellbeing puja performed at Gaya Ji, seeking health, prosperity and harmony for the living family. It is often performed alongside Pind Daan or Shraddh, so that a prayer for the family's own wellbeing accompanies the peace sought for ancestors.
मंगल कामना पूजा एक शुभ पूजा है जो गया जी में जीवित परिवारजनों के स्वास्थ्य, समृद्धि एवं सामंजस्य हेतु की जाती है। यह प्रायः पिंडदान अथवा श्राद्ध के साथ ही संपन्न की जाती है, ताकि पितरों की शांति के साथ-साथ परिवार के मंगल की भी प्रार्थना हो सके।
